We are seeking an experienced and self-driven Lead People Business Partner to join our team at DeepL. In this pivotal role, you will support the Revenue organization (Sales & Customer) by partnering directly with the Chief Revenue Officer and the Revenue Leadership Team. You will serve as the primary People Business Partner for Global Sales while also leading a small team of 2-3 individuals who oversee the Customer department and our regional hubs in the Americas and Asia-Pacific Japan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate trusted relationships with the Chief Revenue Officer and the Revenue Leadership Team, actively contributing to the strategy, direction, and design of the org.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the business and its needs to effectively influence the People agenda and implement targeted initiatives that drive results.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to advise leadership on workforce trends, engagement levels, talent gaps, and overall organizational health.
  • Guide leaders through change management processes, helping to shape organizational structure, culture, and workflows.
  • Assist in identifying and preparing future leaders to ensure continuity in key roles.
  • Drive action planning and initiatives focused on improving employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Collaborate with the finance team and business leaders to anticipate and address future workforce needs.
  • Oversee and resolve complex employee relations cases within the Revenue organization.
  • Partner with our CoE Team, and provide proactive feedback to enhance the effectiveness and delivery of our programs, including engagement, absence management, retention, internal development, recruitment, and productivity, to continuously improve our operating model.

  • Demonstrate commercial awareness, strong understanding of business acumen to maximise influence.
  • Collaborative, able to partner with centres of excellence to develop and implement initiatives that develop capability, talent identification and culture.
  • Strong decision-making and ability to lead projects and change programs at a company level.
  • Demonstrate the capability to self-prioritise and manage a complex and changing workload with the ability to meet changing and varying deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
