What You’ll Do:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Operations Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge, operational expertise, and exceptional analytical skills. This role involves overseeing daily operations, building strong cross functional relationships in various departments, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. A strong background in the manufacturing sector is essential. This role will require heavy traveling across the United States with little to no notice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tracking and managing inventory levels, identifying discrepancies, analyzing inventory cost
- Maintaining detailed inventory records, including receipts, transfers, and issues across all locations.
- Performing regular physical inventory counts to verify accuracy against system records.
- Reconciling inventory discrepancies and investigating causes of variances.
- Calculating average costs for products and monitoring variances.
- Identifying and managing slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Analyzing inventory turnover rates and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Preparing inventory-related reports on carrying costs, shrinkage, and stock levels.
- Collaborating with operations teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline inventory management
- Strong understanding of inventory management, cycle counting, PI counts, and inventory rollforwards.
- Ability to track inventory via vendor shipping logs and manage inter and intra transfers of inventory.

Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of SOX controls around inventory.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Applicants must have work authorization that does not require sponsorship from the company now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification preferred.
- Experience working in one of the Big 4 accounting firms preferred.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $90,000-$120,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
