Strategic Sourcing Manager - Custom Silicon

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custom Silicon Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing plans for silicon foundries and EDA partners, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet our business needs. You will be part of a fast moving team that focuses on partnerships and advanced technology exploration to develop custom solutions for AI, computer vision and other advanced technology areas that are critical to deliver our future vision of Wearables and MR products.

Strategic Sourcing Manager - Custom Silicon Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for silicon components, including market research, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation
• Identify and qualify new suppliers, and manage existing supplier relationships to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve best-in-class pricing, quality, and delivery terms
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, operations, and procurement teams, to ensure alignment on sourcing strategies and requirements
• Analyze market trends, industry developments, and competitor activity to inform sourcing decisions
• Manage supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and cost metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the silicon supply chain, including market dynamics, supplier knowledge, and technology trends
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and innovation, and implement initiatives to drive continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on silicon components
• Proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic sourcing plans, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships
• Abundant knowledge of the silicon industry, including market trends, supplier knowledge, and technology developments
• Proven experience in communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated experience of analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends, and making informed decisions
• Practical experience of problem-solving and project management skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Experience working in a semiconductor or electronics manufacturing environment
• Experience with supplier relationship management software and tools

$116,000/year to $170,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
