
Vice President, IT Operations

The Vice President of IT Operations is responsible for leading and managing the organization's IT operations, including infrastructure, corporate applications, IT service desk, hardware, telephony, knowledge base, Amelia/AiOps (internal utilization management), user support and training, self-service, and communications. This role ensures the efficient and effective operation of the organization's IT systems and services, driving innovation and excellence across all IT operations. Additionally, the role is responsible for cost control and contract management to optimize financial performance and ensure favorable contract terms.
In this role, you will:

Oversee and manage the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.

Lead and manage the support and development of corporate applications to meet the organization's needs.

Oversee the IT service desk to ensure timely and effective resolution of IT issues and incidents.

Manage and oversee the procurement, deployment, and maintenance of hardware to support the organization's IT operations.

Oversee telephony systems to ensure reliable and efficient communication within the organization.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base to support IT operations and improve self-service capabilities.

Manage the internal utilization of Amelia/AiOps to optimize IT operations and enhance efficiency.

Provide user support and training to ensure effective use of IT systems and services.

Develop and enhance self-service capabilities to empower users and improve IT support efficiency.

Oversee IT communications to ensure clear and effective dissemination of information to stakeholders.

Implement cost control measures to optimize financial performance and reduce IT operational expenses.

Negotiate, manage, and review IT contracts to ensure favorable terms and compliance with contractual obligations.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices by developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures.

Collaborate with senior leadership, IT teams, and other key stakeholders to align IT operations initiatives with organizational goals and priorities.

Drive continuous improvement of IT operations practices, technologies, and processes to stay ahead of emerging trends and technologies.

Provide training, mentorship, and development opportunities to IT operations team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications are preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.

You have proven ability to lead and inspire large IT teams, fostering collaboration and accountability. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

You have proven expertise in aligning IT operational goals with overall business strategies to drive growth and innovation. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

You have proven deep knowledge of maintaining and optimizing IT infrastructure, including cloud environments, data centers, and networks. Proven ability to manage and lead complex IT operations projects. Proficiency in IT operations tools and technologies.

You have proven strong understanding of security protocols, risk management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You have proven skills in managing service-level agreements and ensuring high-quality IT service delivery.

You have proven experience in planning and controlling IT budgets, identifying areas for cost reduction without compromising quality.

You have proven competence in negotiating contracts and managing relationships with IT vendors and service providers. Experience in cost control and contract management.

You have proven capability to develop and implement robust disaster recovery and continuity plans.

You have expertise in managing change processes and swiftly addressing and resolving IT incidents.

You have proven staying ahead of IT advancements and integrating innovative solutions to support business needs. Strong understanding of current and future state IT infrastructure, corporate applications, and IT service management.
This position is available for remote work across most of the United States. (** SoundHound AI DOES NOT offer employment in Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Iowa, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.) Employees within a 60-mile radius of a SoundHound AI office are expected to work from the office on three pre-scheduled, company-wide “core days” per month to encourage cross-team connection and in-person collaboration.
The estimated salary for this position is $238,000 to $270,000 plus equity. In addition to salary and equity, you will receive comprehensive healthcare, paid time off, and other benefits. Our recruiting team will provide a specific salary range based on location and years of experience.
