Databricks Marketing team is looking for a Marketing Specialist to join us in Seoul, South Korea.
This is an entry level contractor role, making it an exciting opportunity for someone early in their
career; either a fresh graduate or someone with 1-5 years of experience.
As a Marketing Specialist, you will work alongside a world-class marketing team to create a new
market category and to drive business in a new market. That is one of the most exciting
experiences a regional marketer can go through in their career. You will be building various
demand gen campaigns, programs, events from scratch. You will be part of Databricks journey
as a pioneer developing the Lakehouse category in the South Korea market.
You will be responsible for generating demand to acquire target new customers (LAND) and
maximizing consumption from existing customers (EXPAND), closely collaborating with local
field teams as well as with the local partners. You enjoy developing strong relationships with
regional/global team members and thrive on creating innovative campaigns. You will report to
the Head of Marketing in South Korea. You will bring a company-builder and category-creator
mentality to spearhead all of Databricks-led and partner-led marketing programs while exerting
persistent efforts for improvement. You should also enjoy developing strong relationships with
regional/global team members and thrive on creating innovative campaigns. This is a 12-months contractor position with a possibility of extension.
The impact you will have:
- You will collaborate with local Sales, Solution Architects, SDRs and Partner teams to
- plan and execute effective demand generation programs
- You will create joint-programs with SIers/Consulting firms and review the performance as
- well as implement improvements
- You will deliver customer voice to evangelize Lakehouse in a form of case studies and
- customer speaking engagements as well as lead the local customer community as a
- grassroot movement
- You will leverage marketing/business tools (e.g. Salesforce, Marketo, Tableau etc) to
- monitor campaign performance and transform data into actionable insights
What we look for:
- 0 -5 years of experience in marketing functions; e.g. field/partner marketing and/or
- product/industry marketing for an enterprise software or SaaS company
- Strong organizational skills
- Desire to learn and adapt quickly to new technology and information
- Communication skills and active collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Willingness to experiment with social media, on/offline events& campaigns
- Good written and verbal skills (localization review, create and develop newsletters)
- Ability to interpret data, generate insights and translate into actionable changes
- Program management skills to prioritize and achieve multiple ongoing projects through
- fresh thinking and innovation
- Exceptional communication Skills (Written and Verbal fluency in Korean and English)
Additional Qualifications are a plus:
- Strong understanding of funnel metrics and levers to generate qualified leads,
- accelerating opportunity and pipeline velocity
- Experience in end-to-end program development, execution, and measurement
- Proficiency in marketing systems (e.g Marketo) and ability to navigate Salesforce &
- Tableau to pull reports on specific campaigns and leads metrics
- Experience managing social media channel/developing contents
