Meta’s Global Legal Operations and Strategy (“GLOS”) organization seeks a Legal Operations Program Manager (e-Billing) to join their team. This role will serve a variety of stakeholders throughout Meta’s global offices and report to the Director of Legal Technology.
Legal Operations Program Manager (e-Billing) Responsibilities:
Support Meta Legal’s outside counsel management and preferred partner programs and processes.
Manage work streams with internal and external operations teams on the overall engagement process (on-boarding, matter setup, invoicing, payment, etc.).
Become the go-to subject matter expert on our e-billing system (Legal Tracker) and other tools used by the team (automation, workflows, contract management system, project management tools, etc.).
Manage a large (10+) group of external contractors.
Partner with procurement teams to resolve issues related to back-end AP and payment integrations.
Operationalize and sustain various outside counsel processes through working with engineering teams.
Help document legal processes/procedures to keep our internal knowledge management portal updated.
Develop effective metrics and KPIs to help us track, measure and improve performance of key processes and procedures.
Develop standardized reporting and dashboarding across different practice groups.
Continuously evaluate and refine our e-Billing and relevant processes and technology to optimize the efficiency of the Legal team.
Build relationships with key legal and non-legal partners such as Finance, Procurement, IT, and Business Technology.
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of experience working in a large corporate legal department, focusing on e-Billing operations or law firm equivalent (pricing, analytics, project management, etc.)
Demonstrated track record of running and managing e-Billing systems (e.g. Legal Tracker, Litify, SimpleLegal, etc.)
Proven project management skills, including experience with setting and meeting deadlines and keeping clear records
Experience with advanced data functions (pivots, vlookups, etc.)
Proven experience of synthesizing large data sets, sourced from differing systems
Advanced problem-solving skills
Capacity to work with individuals at all levels of the organization and build positive relationships with business partners
Experience in managing internal and external resources
Effective decision-making skills, including experience with choosing a course of action in situations involving substantial uncertainty and risk
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with implementing and operating other common legal technology solutions is a plus
Experience with non-hourly value-based fee arrangements
Familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
Familiarity with AI-enabled use cases in the legal domain
