YOUR MISSION:
As our Senior IT System & Identity Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in owning and evolving the IT infrastructure that powers our business. From ensuring secure access via Okta and Google Workspace to managing SaaS platforms, endpoint configurations, and automating day-to-day IT operations, you’ll be the technical backbone of a small, agile team. You’ll drive efficiency, security, and scalability across the stack, aligning with ITIL principles while supporting employee productivity and operational excellence.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Administer and improve our core IT systems, including Google Workspace, Okta, MDM tools (e.g. Kandji), and other SaaS platforms.
- Design and automate onboarding/offboarding workflows, access provisioning, and system configuration using scripting tools (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Own and evolve our identity and access management practices, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable access across systems.
- Support and maintain our fleet of Mac and Windows devices, including baseline configurations, patching, and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues across IAM, endpoints, and SaaS integrations—ensuring high availability and minimal disruption.
- Collaborate with Security, DevOps, and People Ops, aligning identity, endpoint, and IT services with compliance and operational goals.
- Contribute to service management practices (incident, change, and asset management) aligned with ITIL and continuous improvement efforts.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Solid experience in system administration, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts and security best practices across systems and cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with incident and change management processes, ideally aligned with ITIL principles.
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate routine tasks and streamline workflows.
- A proactive, security-first mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with IS&T and People teams.
- Experience in Administering Apple Mac Devices & Windows Devices.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience managing Google Workspace, including group management, shared drives, and access policies.
- Familiarity with Apple MDM solutions like Kandji or Jamf (or Windows equivalents like Intune).
- Exposure to SaaS application administration (e.g. Notion, Slack, Zoom, Jira, etc.)
