YOUR MISSION:
As an Engineering Manager in Technology Platform (f/m/d) at Parloa, you will guide the evolution of our cloud infrastructure and empower engineering teams to leverage it effectively. Your role combines technical leadership with people management as you build and support a team of cloud infrastructure specialists. You will foster a culture of reliability, security, and operational excellence while ensuring our infrastructure scales with our business needs.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Build, mentor, and develop a collaborative infrastructure team that embodies operational excellence
- Lead the strategic vision for our cloud infrastructure, focusing on scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency
- Establish infrastructure patterns and golden paths that enable engineering teams to deploy and operate services autonomously
- Partner with engineering leaders to understand their technical requirements and ensure our infrastructure meets their needs
- Implement robust observability, monitoring, and incident response processes to maintain service reliability
- Coordinate the implementation of security and compliance standards within our infrastructure
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through automation, metrics, and knowledge sharing
- Balance strategic infrastructure initiatives with immediate operational needs
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Experience managing DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering teams in a collaborative environment
- Solid technical background in cloud infrastructure (preferably Azure/AWS/GCP) and modern deployment practices
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Argo CD), and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Experience with networking concepts, security configurations, and identity management solutions
- Experience implementing secure-by-design principles and compliance frameworks
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated success in balancing technical debt with business-driven feature development
- Ability to attract, develop, and retain diverse engineering talent
- Experience with incident management and on-call processes
