Role Overview

We’re building a high-impact, timezone-aligned team in Poland (our own Engineering SEALs team) to take full ownership of our Alignerr platform which powers our community of subject matter experts who build the future of Generative AI.

As the leader for this team, you won’t just be managing engineers, you’ll be the Product and Technical owner of a platform which is at the heart of our mission. You’ll work closely with leadership to define vision, prioritize work, and execute with excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role and a rare opportunity to shape a core product team from the ground up.

You will shape the direction, culture, and outcomes of this mission-critical group, and serve as a respected people leader and AI advocate. You’ll lead strategic technical decisions, and be a visible champion of our engineering culture on the ground. You’ll also play a critical role in tapping into Poland’s rich engineering talent pool, building a team that’s as sharp technically as it is collaborative.

Your Impact

Own a mission-critical platform: Take full ownership of Alignerr, the product at the core of our AI Services business—powering expert operations that support the world’s leading AI labs. Own the product end to end - talk to customers, identify the pain points, make them better, and ultimately build a world-class AI product that you and the team will be proud of. Define the vision, set priorities, and drive the evolution of Alignerr to meet the scale and complexity of frontier AI development.
Build and lead a high-performing team: Set a high bar for technical excellence, product ownership, and team culture across the Poland SEALs team. Grow and mentor the team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and impact. Create an environment where engineers can thrive, with strong infrastructure, tools, and clear focus. Advocate for modern engineering practices and AI-forward thinking; encourage experimentation and continuous improvement.
Deliver reliably at scale: Ensure the platform consistently supports 250,000+ expert hours/month across RLHF, multimodal feedback, and complex reasoning tasks. Make foundational architectural decisions, lead implementation across the stack, and ensure speed, stability, and scalability.
Represent Labelbox locally: Be a cultural and technical ambassador, helping us grow our presence and reputation within Poland’s engineering community.

What You Bring

Passion for AI and interest in shaping AI-driven products
Proven success building and scaling impactful engineering teams
Strong technical foundation: scalable architecture, distributed systems, API design, and modern frameworks (TypeScript, Python, Java).
Proven experience building, scaling, and operating cloud-native systems (AWS/GCP preferred).
Familiarity with AI development and products—whether from previous work with ML models, LLMs, or related AI infrastructure.
A track record of recruiting and growing engineering talent in high-ownership environments.
Clear, concise communicator who excels at cross-functional collaboration and can inspire teams.
Comfortable working independently while staying connected to global team dynamics. Experience operating in a startup or scale-up environment with distributed teams.
