Silicon Technical Program Manager
Mission: Plan, coordinate, drive execution for silicon programs at Groq
Responsibilities & opportunities in this role:
- Assume ownership of silicon schedules for LD, DV, PD, packaging, and foundry
- Form one pillar of the core team triad for the Polaris (and follow-on) programs (Engineering, Product, Program Management) to guide decisions, trade-offs, planning, execution
- Work with engineers and engineering managers to ensure on-time execution of silicon deliverables with quality
- Collaborate and lead cross-functional planning and execution efforts with product, systems and software teams to ensure we deliver a product, not just a chip
- Support Head of Silicon on routine administration of his team and responsibilities, including preparing presentations, following up on actions, hosting meetings, etc.
Ideal candidates have/are:
- Have hands-on experience with either logic design, design verification, or physical design
- Expertise with schedule tools like MS Project or Smartsheet
- Prior experience in a chief-of-staff role
- Comfortable with ambiguity but actively seek clarity
- Electrical or mechanical engineering degree
- Demonstrated ability to create, maintain, manage complex programs involving multiple technical teams using both ASIC and COT silicon development paradigms
- Demonstrated experience working with external vendors (foundries, IP, etc.), including negotiation of deadlines, holding all parties accountable, etc.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex concepts (e.g., schedules, decisions, requirements, etc.) clearly, concisely, and in a timely manner
- Sufficient understanding of silicon-oriented technologies, methodologies to speak with engineers in their own language

Compensation: At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is $273,000 to $320,000, determined by your skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks.
