Responsibilities & outcomes:
- Lead the technical evaluation of various solutions to determine the best fit for internal design requirements (EDA, Chiplet, IP Evaluation)
- Evaluate processor cores, interconnect IP, memory controllers, and peripheral IP from multiple vendors.
- Benchmark chiplet and IP solutions for performance, power efficiency, area, and integration complexity
- Work closely with design teams to support the integration of chiplet-based architectures and IP blocks into SoC designs
- Work with internal team and ecosystem vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EDA, IP and chiplets during various stages of the design cycle
- Act as the primary point of contact with EDA, IP and chiplet vendors for technical discussions, updates, and feature requests; ensuring adherence to quality, delivery, and service level agreements
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market conditions to recommend innovative and cost-effective solutions
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and product management teams to understand silicon solution requirements
- Provide recommendations for improving design flow efficiency when integrating EDA, chiplets and IP cores, ensuring high performance, power, and area efficiency
- Create internal documentation for evaluation reports, benchmark and proposed solution for optimal performance and TCO
Ideal candidates have/are:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience with EDA, IP and chiplet evaluation, integration, and support in SoC designs.
- Experience with IP cores (e.g., processor cores, memory IP, interconnect IP, peripheral IP).
- Experience with chiplet-based architectures (2.5D and 3D) and associated interfaces (e.g., UCIe, SerDes).
- Strong knowledge of SoC design flow including RTL, synthesis, place-and-route, timing analysis, and verification.
