About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Accounts Receivable and Collection Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for optimizing our AR processes, ensuring healthy cash flow, and contributing to the financial stability of our rapidly growing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the daily operations of our AR functions, including streamlining payment applications, managing billing inquiries, and executing strategic collection outreach
- Develop and implement robust metrics to track and report key performance indicators in AR and collections, directly contributing to improved cash flow and financial health
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Legal, and Finance teams to design, implement, and continually refine our credit check and dunning processes
- Lead the evaluation and definition of AR system needs, orchestrating RFP processes and overseeing implementations to enhance our technological capabilities
- Manage all AR-related month-end close procedures with meticulous attention to detail, including:
- Comprehensive cash and AR reconciliations
- In-depth AR aging analysis
- Thorough bad debt assessments and write-off recommendations
- Pioneer process improvements and automation initiatives to maximize efficiency across AR and collections, directly impacting our bottom line
- Serve as a key liaison during financial audits, ensuring compliance and transparency in all AR-related areas
You may be a good fit if you:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, and related accounting practices, ideally within a high-growth technology company
- Have a deep understanding of AR-related accounting principles, GAAP standards, and best practices in financial operations
- Have exceptional attention to detail coupled with the ability to analyze and interpret large, complex datasets
- Have outstanding communication skills with a proven track record of effectively engaging both internal stakeholders and external clients
- Exhibit strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Have proficiency in Excel, and have experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Stripe
Strong candidates may also:
- Be comfortable with handling ambiguity and working with minimal supervision
- Exhibit knowledge of how to implement a change and good instinct in predicting its effects, and knowledge of how to “get it right” the first time
