What will you be doing at DeepL?
We are looking for a Partner Development Manager to join the DeepL Partnerships Department and support the EMEA region. As part of our Global Channel Partnerships team you will be responsible for heading up the go-to-market efforts through DeepL’s channel partner community in Europe consisting of Language Service Providers (LSPs), Translation and Localization Management Solution Providers (TMS), and AI technology Providers that solve different use cases than DeepL.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about generating commercial pipeline, building and monetising strategic partner relationships and achieving commercial success in collaboration with partners and internal teams. Our preference is for someone that likes building out repeatable and scalable GTM partner programs. We are looking for an individual who is proactively seeking to improve commercial development achievements and partner experiences.
Your Responsibilities
Reporting into the Director of Global Partner Strategy, you will be responsible for executing revenue-driving programs & initiatives and evangelise DeepL’s value proposition within our partner community. Key to success in this position is effective collaboration with multiple cross-functional stakeholders, including Regional Leadership, Sales, Marketing and Customer Success.
- Drive strategic alignment between DeepL and our Partners to initiate and accelerate co-selling while achieving pole position within their partner portfolio.
- Work with Partners, Sales, Success and Marketing to develop a joint DeepL strategy and GTM business plan that includes co-selling and sourcing net new opportunities.
- Execute GTM plans and create region-specific development plans, driving new partner onboarding and jointly delivering successful outcomes for our customers.
- Build out program strategy and lead business development activities with partners by coordinating and driving co-selling as well as co-marketing to ultimately drive revenue impact for the business.
- Build alignment with regional sales leads and commitment on key partnership goals and strategic initiatives by maintaining access and influence with key stakeholders.
- Work from one of European offices and travel within your region to key partner and industry events.
Qualities we look for
- 3+ years experience in a Sales/Partnerships function and demonstrated experience in obtaining and overachieving on targets.
- Experience working with Partners, Sales and Business Development teams to deliver joint business outcomes.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of modern technology sales.
- Knowledge of the translation market and/or AI/ML would also be advantageous and accelerate the candidates speed to delivery.
- Adaptive and agile in a quickly changing environment with competing priorities.
- Strong organisational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- History of thriving in a rapidly changing environment.
- Results-oriented, self-directed with a passion to succeed.
- Experience with and knowledge of partner tooling such as Crossbeam will be beneficial.
- Fluency in English (C1) and ideally one more European language such as German or French (both reading and writing) is required in order to succeed within this key role.
