Role Summary

We’re looking for an experienced Product Design Lead/Manager to help define and champion a unified vision for best-in-class experiences across healthcare, nurture craft and process among a growing Product Design team, and strategize with Product and Engineering leaders to develop and deliver an ambitious roadmap.

Learn

Discover opportunities and improve our collective understanding. Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify problems and efficiently parse signal from noise.

Deeply understand holistic product objectives and how they ladder up to business objectives
Facilitate the recruitment and execution of research plans
Identify major gaps in knowledge across the team to warrant discovery
Improve and/or establish processes across the team to optimize culture dynamics and operations

Decide

Develop hypotheses for next best steps with a bias for action. Have conviction to experiment, scope appropriately, and make decisions with imperfect information through critical synthesis and best practices.

Validate initiatives through a design lens
Surface important trade-offs at both the project and portfolio level
Develop priorities through strategic triage of business objectives and resources, proactively identifying and filling gaps as needed
Help designers gain individual conviction around solution definition, and how to identify and action the right next step

Align

Share points-of-view and galvanize support. Understand business- and persona- context and leverage the right tools and altitude of communication to persuade through articulate storytelling.

Gain alignment with leadership to ensure the team is answering the right questions, solving the right problems, and at the right altitude
Help facilitate alignment for IC designers and their work and resolve disagreements as needed
Cascade important information through a design lens
Share visibility of project status and team impact across the portfolio

Execute

Produce with urgency and a commitment to excellence, owning the results by employing the right asset (e.g. prototype / sketch / plan) with meticulous and thorough craft.

Provide specific, appropriate guidance to teams and cross-functional partners
Be the authority on craft, facilitating best outcomes on design considerations and owning the results
Drive efficiency and create a winning culture

What we’re looking for

Extensive and relevant work experience leading and growing a high-performing product design team, as part of a product-driven software company
Experience with B2B software or applications with multiple user touch-points on different platforms and devices. This will require a specific focus on products that have a consumer interaction, so B2B2C experience is strongly preferred.
Commitment to craft and pushing others to improve quality across all our product and experience touchpoints
A portfolio that effectively showcases strengths in strategy, leadership, and delivery across high impact product initiatives
A strong appreciation for the balance of innovation and high standards with business needs and customer expectations
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with a keen ability to champion the best ideas and pushback on beliefs with integrity and respect
Ability to be in the work, sweating the meticulous details, and contributing as needed to close gaps, and accelerate new concepts
Comfort with ambiguity and grace under pressure
