We are seeking a founding Strategic Engagements Lead to build and scale our customer-facing engagements. This role requires an individual who is ready to step in immediately as a player-coach—leading client projects, managing relationships, and driving execution—while simultaneously laying the foundation for a team that will own this function in the future.
You will be accountable for owning and driving results with our most strategic clients. You will scope and drive delivery for GenAI customers to ensure expansion and growth in the account. In doing so, you’ll work on delivering pilots and complex datasets at the frontier of GenAI— working with Snorkel teams to ensure high quality & on-time delivery. In this highly-cross functional role, you’ll serve as the critical interface between customer and Snorkel teams across operations, engineering, product, and research.
You’re someone who isn’t afraid of blank space as you embrace scrappiness, experimentation, and quick iteration. You’ll report to the Head of the DaaS, and you’ll have the ownership and agency to build from the ground up as a founding team member of this rapidly scaling business.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute critical / strategic client engagements, working to understand their business needs, challenges, and opportunities
- Manage long-term success and expansion of customer accounts by anticipating risks and proactively driving towards strategic customer alignment.
- Lead technical scoping and execution frontier GenAI projects in partnership with operations, product, and engineering teams.
- Oversee project financials, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Codify best practices, methodologies, and operational frameworks for Engagement Management.
- Identify key competencies and structure needed to build a high-performing Engagement Management team.
- Recruit, train, and mentor future Engagement Managers, ensuring they are set up for success.
- Define key metrics, governance structures, and execution models to drive client satisfaction and internal efficiency.
Qualifications
- 7+ years experience in technical account management, customer facing roles, and data labeling/delivery
- Proven track record driving customer outcomes including pilot wins/expansions and strategic project deliver
- Experience leading scoping & execution for complex GenAI projects and data pipelines
- Executive presence in front of customers & strong presentation / communication skills; the ability to become a trusted partner/advisor to customer
- Ability to manage of team members for individual project engagements, growing + building a team of world-class engagement managers
The salary range for this position based in the San Francisco Bay Area is $170,000.00 - $240,000.00. All offers include equity compensation in the form of employee stock options.
