Meet the team behind this journey
As a Sales Engagement Manager at DeepL, you will play a pivotal role in optimising our engagement with customers and enhancing outbound efforts for our Account Executives (AEs), Sales Development Reps (SDRs) and the wider sales team. This position is tailored for a proactive operations rockstar who can improve how AEs generate their own pipeline and bookings, improve conversion rates and drive engagement with customers through various channels with the ultimate aim of having AEs create 20-30% of their own opportunities. You will work collaboratively with AEs, their leadership, and other teams to implement strategies that refine outbound processes, leverage data, and drive overall sales productivity.
Your Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Lead initiatives aimed at driving outbound sales productivity and operational efficiency, focusing on the needs of AEs and the wider sales team.
- Roadmap and own the project plan under the Sales Engagement work-stream
Advanced Data Analytics
- Utilise advanced analytics to inform strategic decision-making related to outbound efforts and AE performance.
- Present data-driven insights to senior leadership, recommending actionable strategies to improve outbound sales outcomes.
Change Management
- Lead change initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of outbound sales processes, ensuring smooth transitions and stakeholder buy-in.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the sales organisation, focusing on optimising AE engagement and outbound efforts.
Mentorship & Development
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional development, with a focus on supporting AEs in their outbound efforts.
- Lead workshops and training sessions to enhance team capabilities and align with the needs of the sales organisation.
Qualities we look for
- Experience: 7+ years in Sales Operations, with a proven track record of driving measurable improvements in outbound sales performance and productivity.
- Communication: Ability to present project updates to senior leadership as well as put forward recommendations
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with business goals and enhance AE effectiveness in outbounding.
- Advanced Tools Knowledge: Expertise in advanced sales tools and analytics platforms, with a focus on optimising outbound engagement (Salesloft, LinkedIn SN, Sales OS, Cognism, Salesforce).
- Influence & Impact: Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across teams, particularly in support of AEs.
Even Better If You Also Have
- Experience working as an AE, SDR or in a sales support role.
- Experience in a global growing SaaS environment, with an understanding of cultural nuances in sales practices.
