About the role
As the Head of Growth at The Rundown, you’ll be a key driver of audience growth and engagement across our flagship daily AI newsletter. Working directly with our CEO and collaborating with the media, creative, and finance teams, you’ll blend data-driven growth strategies with compelling content initiatives to expand our reach and strengthen our brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and optimizing paid growth channels, including Facebook, Twitter, newsletter ads, and influencer partnerships.
- Crafting high-performing copy and campaign strategies informed by past results, in close collaboration with the creative team.
- Analyzing data weekly to identify the channels delivering the highest-quality growth and reallocating spend accordingly.
- Running A/B tests on landing pages and onboarding flows to improve subscriber acquisition and retention.
- Conducting surveys and enriching audience data to better understand our readers and tailor our offerings.
- This is a fully remote role with competitive compensation.
Our ideal candidate
- Has proven experience managing high-spend Facebook ad campaigns (six figures per month or more) with a focus on ROI and scale.
- Experienced in growing media brands or email newsletters, with a deep understanding of subscriber acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Skilled in growth marketing, performance marketing, or lifecycle marketing, ideally in a fast-paced startup or media environment.
- Strong copywriting and messaging skills, able to craft compelling campaigns and subscriber journeys that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Creative and data-driven, with a track record of A/B testing, conversion optimization, and funnel improvements.
- Bonus if you’re familiar with Beehiiv or other email publishing platforms.
- Comfortable segmenting and analyzing data to identify the highest-quality growth channels and opportunities.
- Thrives in a fast-moving, remote-first environment and can collaborate cross-functionally with creative, media, and leadership teams.
