About the role
As a Mobile Developer at The Rundown, you’ll contribute to the design & development of our first mobile app. You’ll collaborate with our product & education teams to architect, build and iterate an app that helps users learn AI skills through educational content & real world AI applications, all while staying up to date with The Rundown’s daily newsletter content.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the App: Architect & develop in initial iOS app, from prototypes to production ready release.
- Integrate Editorial Content: Use APIs to deliver newsletter content while maintaining documentation of engagement (open rates, CTR etc).
- Design Learning Loops & Gamification: Work closely with the education team to implement interactive AI learning modules that are gamified, streak-based & adaptive.
- AI Integration: Experiment with AI APIs for in app tutoring, summaries or voice assistants to enhance the users experience.
- Performance & Reliability: Ensure the app runs smoothly with a strong focus on performance, security & a polished user experience.
- Iterate Fast: Ship quickly, take feedback in strive & continuously improve.
Our ideal candidate
- 3+ years of experience building & shipping mobile apps.
- Familiarity with API integrations, particularly with content platforms.
- Strong understanding of mobile UX & gamified learning.
- Experience with backend integration
- Passionate about AI & excited to make AI education accessible to all.
- Comfortable working autonomously, in a fast paced high ownership environment.
- Experience working with coding languages like React Native and Expo
