About the role
As a Platform Designer for The Rundown University, you’ll form the foundation of our product experience. You’ll design the systems, interactions & visuals that create a great user experience, while making learning AI seamless and addictive. You’ll work closely with our education & product teams to design a unified app experience that can scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Design the core learning experience: Alongside the education & product teams, create intuitive, accessible & visually engaging user flows that make learning AI tools easy & fun.
- Design the design system: Build and maintain The Rundown’s design languages, include typography, components, color palettes & interaction patterns.
- Prototype & test: Rapidly prototype new learning features (streaks, badges, retention tests, progress dashboards) & iterate based on feedback & data.
- Ensure design consistency: Maintain visual & function coherence across mobile & web products through well documented systems & shared assets.
- Champion Accessibility & UX excellence: Design for inclusivity & ease of use, ensuring everyone can learn AI, regardless of skill level or educational background.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work side by side with developers, educators & leaderships to turn ideas into polished & functioning designs that users love.
Our ideal candidate
- 2-5 years of product or UX design experience (bonus points for edtech, SaaS, or consumer apps).
- Strong proficiency in Figma, with experience developing design systems & component libraries.
- Excellent understanding of mobile UX patterns & responsive design principles.
- Thrives working in a fast paced, high output start up environment, delivering fast & iterating constantly.
- Passionate about AI, education & user centered design.
