About the role
As a Thumbnail Designer at The Rundown, you’ll be responsible for designing & publishing high performing thumbnails, titles & descriptions across The Rundown’s video & socials, including content for our CEO’s personal brand. You’ll work closely with our media team to ensure every piece of visual content aligns with the brand’s storytelling style, tone & audience. You will play a key role in how millions of people experience AI news & education.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high performing thumbnails: 2-3 (A/B tested) thumbnails every weekday for The Rundown’s youtube & social media.
- Write titles & descriptions: optimized for engagement, SEO, and clarity.
- Collaborate with media & content teams: to interpret stories, scripts & videos into clear, compelling visuals that capture audience attention.
- Experiment & analyze: track performance metrics and analytics, share findings with the teams & iterate designs based on what performs best.
- Maintain brand consistency: ensure all visuals align with brand identity & style guidance.
- Source & edit images: use AI tools to create and enhance visuals quickly while keeping a clean & polished look.
- Manage publishing workflow: upload final thumbnails, titles & descriptions, ensuring every post goes live on time.

- Exceptional eye for design.
- Excellent copywriting skills & English proficiency for titles & descriptions.
- Obsessed with performance data, you love testing, learning & analyzing data to continuously learn.
- Experience designs & A/B testing thumbnails for Youtube videos with 100k+ views.
- Thrives in a fast paced, remote first working environment & can potentially work in odd timezone when needed.
- Highly organized, detail oriented & genuinely excited about making AI skills accessible to millions of people worldwide.
