About the role
As a copywriter at The Rundown, you'll be at the heart of our content engine, creating educational materials that help millions understand and leverage AI tools effectively. You'll spend your days immersed in the AI ecosystem, discovering breakthrough use cases and translating them into actionable content that reaches over 1 million readers daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and discover new AI applications by monitoring our community, AI influencers, forums, and archives to identify unique real-world AI use cases
- Write and publish daily AI guides (5x per week) that break down complex tools into practical, actionable guides, highlighting pros and cons
- Reformat and optimize guides for newsletter distribution, ensuring content resonates with our 1M+ daily readers
- Test AI tools extensively to understand their real-world applications, limitations, and optimal use cases
- Develop deep expertise in the "why" behind AI adoption - understanding when AI enhances workflows and when "keeping it human" is better
- Create, update, and design comprehensive educational courses for The Rundown AI University
- Stay obsessed with AI developments, maintaining expertise across the entire landscape of AI tools and applications
Our ideal candidate
- Has proven copywriting, journalism, or content creation experience with a portfolio demonstrating clear, engaging writing
- Lives and breathes AI - you're the person friends ask about the latest AI tools and you spend free time exploring new AI applications
- Possesses exceptional research skills with the ability to navigate AI communities, forums, and niche sources to uncover hidden gems
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking to understand not just how AI tools work, but why they matter and when they should (or shouldn't) be used
- Has experience creating educational content or courses (bonus if in tech/AI space)
- Thrives in fast-paced environments and can maintain consistent quality while producing daily content
- Bonus: Active in AI communities, maintains an AI-focused social media presence, or has built AI-related projects
