Role Overview
As an Operations Program Manager, Robotics at Labelbox, you’ll sit at the center of delivering high-quality training data that powers next-generation robotics and embodied AI systems. You’ll be responsible for ensuring customer commitments are met on time, at scale, and with world-class quality—across complex data workflows that include perception, autonomy, and multimodal robotics use cases.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Customer Operations, Product Operations, Product Managers, Data Quality, and our global expert labeling community (Alignerr) to build, run, and continuously improve the operational engines behind some of the most advanced AI systems in the world.
This role is highly hands-on and fast-moving. You’ll solve ambiguous problems, run pilots and experiments, identify bottlenecks, and design scrappy yet scalable solutions. If you thrive at the intersection of operations, analytics, and ownership, this role puts you at the heart of Labelbox’s daily execution.
Your Impact
- Build, own, and operate critical workflows supporting robotics and autonomous systems data pipelines.
- Own day-to-day delivery of customer commitments, balancing speed, quality, and cost.
- Partner closely with Customer Ops and Product teams to translate customer requirements into executable operational plans.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and design creative solutions through pilots, tests, and process improvements.
- Create tight feedback loops between frontline operations, product, and customers to continuously improve outcomes.
- Monitor quality, throughput, and SLA performance across robotics-focused projects (e.g., perception, sensor fusion, autonomy data).
- Support scaling new customers, new data modalities, and novel robotics use cases.
What You Bring
- 6+ years of experience in operations, program management, consulting, or a similar execution-heavy role.
- Able to work in-person 5-6 days a week.
- Strong English skills.
- Experience growing/scaling up teams from scratch.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make operational tradeoffs.
- Action-oriented and scrappy—comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving results end-to-end.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Empathetic operator who understands the needs of customers, internal teams, and external contributors.
Bonus Points
- Undergraduate degree in an analytics-heavy field (Engineering, Economics, Operations, or similar); graduate degree a plus.
- Experience supporting robotics, autonomous systems, computer vision, or multimodal AI projects.
- Experience working with large-scale data operations or marketplace-based labor platforms.
- Familiarity with SQL, dashboards, or data analysis tools (or demonstrated analytical ability).
- Exposure to process design, experimentation, or continuous improvement frameworks.
