Life at UiPath
The people at UiPath believe in the transformative power of automation to change how the world works. We’re committed to creating category-leading enterprise software that unleashes that power.
To make that happen, we need people who are curious, self-propelled, generous, and genuine. People who love being part of a fast-moving, fast-thinking growth company. And people who care—about each other, about UiPath, and about our larger purpose.
Could that be you?
Your mission
The Sales Engineer is a hands-on technical presales expert and trusted advisor who partners with prospects, customers, and account teams to advance complex enterprise deals. This role combines customer discovery, solution design, and hands-on execution, including tailored demos, proof of concepts (POCs), reusable solution accelerators, and AI-powered workflows that demonstrate business value and technical feasibility. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable with executive conversations, technical deep dives, and building working solutions that showcase the UiPath platform.
What You'll Do At UiPath
- Partner with account executives and cross-functional teams to shape the technical strategy for new and expansion opportunities.
- Lead technical discovery, solution workshops, and architecture discussions to understand customer goals, systems landscape, constraints, and success criteria.
- Build and deliver tailored product demonstrations, industry-specific narratives, and customer-facing prototypes.
- Independently create end-to-end POCs, evaluation plans, and reusable solution kits that accelerate technical validation and can be scaled across the field team.
- Design and demonstrate AI-powered workflows and agentic automation use cases using LLMs, RAG patterns, APIs, and enterprise system integrations.
- Translate business requirements into solution architectures using the UiPath platform and adjacent technologies.
- Present technical design, business value, ROI, and implementation considerations to business, technical, and executive stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, objections, and competitive gaps throughout the sales cycle.
- Support RFPs, RFIs, security reviews, and technical enablement activities as needed.
- Mentor and enable internal technical resources through reusable assets, training, and field best practices.
What You'll Bring To The Team
- 4+ years of experience in technical presales, solutions engineering, consulting, automation engineering, or related customer-facing technical role.
- 2-3+ years of hands-on experience with UiPath, RPA, AI/automation platforms, or comparable enterprise automation technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to independently build POCs, integrations, scripts, or solution accelerators; the role requires a builder, not only an advisor.
- Strong knowledge of UiPath platform capabilities, solution architecture, and enterprise automation design patterns.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, C#, or Java; Python is preferred for AI and LLM-oriented use cases.
- Hands-on experience with APIs, enterprise application integration patterns, and solution design across cloud and/or hybrid environments.
- Familiarity with LLM ecosystems, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, vector databases, and evaluating AI outputs for business use cases.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and credibly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong ownership, problem-solving ability, and a bias for execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building AI agents or multi-agent workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, or AutoGen.
- Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles, including technical qualification, demo strategy, evaluation plans, and competitive positioning.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft, or other business-critical platforms.
- Exposure to intelligent document processing, communications mining, and ML-enabled automation use cases.
- Experience delivering webinars, technical workshops, and internal or customer-facing enablement sessions.
- Working knowledge of enterprise security, governance, and responsible AI considerations in solution design.
