As the People Operations Excellence Lead, you will drive operational excellence within the People Operations team, focusing on optimizing processes and ensuring that our HR practices support the company's strategic objectives and adhere to compliance standards. You will lead a small team of project and domain experts dedicated to enhancing our operational capabilities and ensuring the effective delivery of People Team initiatives.
Your responsibilities
- Leadership and Development: Lead a small team of HR professionals and project specialists, providing guidance and development opportunities to ensure high performance and engagement.
- Project Leadership: Direct and oversee projects aimed at refining and advancing our People Operations framework to support a world class employee life cycle
- Strategy Implementation: Collaborate closely with the People Operations team and other departments such as Culture & Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, and Compensation & Benefits to implement strategies that improve employee experience and operational workflows.
- Process Optimization: Analyze and enhance People Operations processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strategic Analytics: Develop and implement an analytics framework that aligns with DeepL’s strategic objectives, focusing on enhancing operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Excellent Employee Experience: Drive initiatives that ensure an excellent employee experience throughout the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to off-boarding.
- Compliance and Innovation: Ensure all People Operations activities not only comply with legal standards but also set industry benchmarks through innovative practices.

Qualities we look for
- Extensive experience in People Operations or HR, particularly in areas emphasizing operational excellence and tech integration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of designing and implementing process improvements.
- Strong leadership qualities with experience managing teams and projects.
- In-depth understanding of HR compliance, with a knack for integrating technology to enhance compliance measures.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and a keen interest in leveraging AI and other emerging technologies to solve traditional HR challenges.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
