Meet the team behind this journey
DeepL's Legal team seeking a Legal Counsel to join their Go-to-Market (GtM) Legal team within the growing Legal department. As a Legal Counsel at DeepL, you will work closely with our GtM Legal team, the wider GtM team and other legal professionals to provide critical support and assistance across a range of legal matters. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative company that is at the forefront of the language technology revolution.
Your Responsibilities
- Review and negotiate a variety of complex commercial agreements, including SaaS, MSA, DPAs with B2B customers.
- Provide the GtM team with advice on a wide variety of commercial legal matters.
- Support the improvement of internal processes within the GtM organisation. Support the development of and maintain the templates of the GtM Legal team.
- Draft and conduct training and self-help materials and guidelines for both the GtM and the GtM Legal team.
- Provide administrative support for legal documentation.
Qualities we look for
- Fully qualified lawyer (English or comparable) with an above-average degree and at least two years of experience working in internal legal departments (preferably in a technology company).
- Understanding of the challenges of a fast-growing company.
- Experience in reviewing and negotiating B2B contracts (in English, preferably also in another language).
- Experience with SaaS contracts.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable working with the GtM team.
- Fluency in English, other language skills are an advantage.
- Ability to think on your feet, adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
