As a Deal Desk Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales organisation in structuring deal pricing, discounting and managing the non-standard policy review and approval process. We're looking for someone with a proven track record in business insight, financial analytics and project management. You’ll need to be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with our sales teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
You will work closely with the field sales, finance, customer success and legal teams to maintain efficient support to deals and achieve the initiatives of the global Deal Desk team. You will report to the Deal Desk leader and will be a sales advocate and partner to internal organisations.
Your responsibilities
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex deals and non-standard requests, providing timely guidance and assistance to sales teams on matters related to pricing, deal structure, and discounting.
- Review and approve deal pricing and discount levels to ensure consistency with company guidelines, legal requirements and contractual obligations.
- Manage the case queue and approval workflows, ensuring all non-standard deals have proper documentation and are escalated to the right approval levels.
- Meet SLA requirements as defined by our global Deal Desk function.
- Identify and recommend policy and process improvements to enhance the effectiveness of deal structure, exception processes and ultimately decrease deal cycle time.
- Contribute to create, manage and update materials in the sales repository, ensuring they stay relevant and accessible.
- Partner with sales enablement to create and run Sales training on Deal Desk processes and approvals.
- Identify opportunities to automate elements of the deal desk and improve operational execution.
- Partner with the Deal Desk leader and the Pricing Strategy leader to drive best practices ensuring pricing decisions are operational.
Qualities we look for
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience working with sales in SaaS start-up or larger software company
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably deal desk, finance, or sales operations
- Strong understanding of sales processes and methodologies
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret large, complex data
- Ability to rapidly learn, understand, and work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills to manage multiple concurrent deals and projects
- Must be familiar with Salesforce.com, CPQ tools, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
- Fluency in written and spoken English
