We are looking for an inquisitive analyst who enjoys applying data to help answer questions and provides timely and detailed reporting required by managers at all levels. The successful candidate must have an appetite for investigating a variety of issues to enable teams to do more with data.
Reporting to the Manager of Data Science & Analytics for Capacity, this individual will help evolve our product database to meet ever-changing circumstances, help interpret forecast results, and help deploy solutions to solve analytic problems. They will visualize results and generate KPIs, reports, and dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Access Product and Capacity databases to support historical data tracking, forecasting, dashboarding, and reporting.
- Contribute to the development of data requirements for engineering teams to support new product launches and support evolving product roadmaps
- Collect, join, maintain data in support of team objectives, while helping improve data quality and integrity. Help digest data into consumable metrics for visualization.
- Identify concerns and work with your manager and other team members to develop measurements, collect data, and provide resolution to capacity related problems
- Incorporate product, hardware, and datacenter constraints into the solutions you support, to help ensure viability of the plans presented to stakeholders
- Gain understanding of various demand streams and product trends when sharing forecast predictions that will be actioned by the company
- Perform data analysis by distilling large data sets that inform business decisions for prioritizing operational trade-offs and capital spend
- Assemble data for capacity planning models and analytic tools that process relevant data and track capacity performance
Qualifications
- You excel at wrangling data, and this is your professional passion
- You have excellent SQL skills and understand core principles of database design
- You have experience working with Data Warehouses and/or Data Lakes
You have working experience with at least one programming languages like Python, R
- You are skilled at data visualization and working with BI software (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Plotly, GGplot2, etc.)
What we Offer
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000-$120,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
