As a Windows Software Engineer at Grammarly, you will build new user-facing features on our Windows desktop client.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with our engineering, product, and design teams to design, build, and ship major user-facing features.
- Develop features from early-stage prototypes to metrics-driven iterations to successful launches.
- Collaborate with other client teams across platforms to ensure consistency across Grammarly’s product offerings.
- Maintain excellent application performance and code quality by applying engineering best practices and thoughtful problem-solving.
- Ship production code using C#, .NET, and WPF to one of our most strategic flagship product offerings.
Qualifications
- Has strong knowledge of developing Windows applications with C#, .NET, and WPF.
- Is fluent in engineering best practices: code review, test coverage, and monitoring.
- Has—as a plus—experience developing desktop applications that work with low-level APIs, such as C++, Win32, COM API, and .NET interoperability.
- Has strong knowledge of OOD and OOP.
- Has strong knowledge and practical experience with multithreading (TPL, asynchronous computations).
- Is excited about finding an optimal solution in situations of uncertainty.
- Enjoys fast-paced delivery and a consistent feedback loop.
- Nice to have: experience developing desktop applications for Windows using WPF.
- Enjoys utilizing design thinking to create user-centered products.
- Thrives in fast-paced development and constant feedback loop.

Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, which means base pay may vary depending on your location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations. In Canada, all locations where we support employment are considered “Zone 1”.
Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future.
United States:
Zone 1: $207,000 – $284,000/year (USD)
Zone 2: $187,000 – $255,000/year (USD)
