What you'll do:
- Lead electrical system design and circuit board designs in Shield AI’s VBAT aircraft. These designs require complex system architectures utilizing custom circuitry (power management, analog, digital, servos, microcontrollers, sensors, radios, etc.)
- Help define technical product requirements and features
- Provide technical guidance and feedback to teammates
- Lead and guide teammates to execute complex design tasks
- Coordinate with cross-functional resources (mechanical, embedded, software, production, supply chain, etc.)
- Drive schedule and deliverables for hardware products
- Lead and attend cross-functional design reviews
- Be responsible for schematic capture, modeling, simulation, analysis, verification, debugging, and release to production
- Work closely with CAD engineering for PCB layout
- Mentor teammates
- Help define and develop automated test solutions
Required qualifications:
- You have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- You have 10+ years of industry experience as an Electrical Engineer
- Have strong technical fundamentals
- Have worked on cross-functional teams involving EE, ME, SW, manufacturing, production, etc.
- You have technically mentored/guided other engineers
- You have led design work on the unit level and system level
- Have worked through multiple full product design cycles
- You are proficient with: circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, and circuit testing
- Have experience guiding circuit board placement and routing

Salary compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location. All offers are contingent on a cleared background and possible reference check.
