We are looking for a hands-on and motivated self-starter who is passionate about using data to help us measure every area of the business and influence decision-making.
The individual will be part of the India task force in the Public Sector team. This core team shall operate as an internal business and strategy consulting & execution team, driving a wide variety of projects on behalf of the leadership in the organization. A long-term growth path for this role is envisioned as leading new businesses and supporting incubation of new ideas.
This is the right role for a candidate with a very high level of analytical rigor, attention to detail, and a strong bias for action with limited supervision. In this position, you will work across teams to gain alignment, develop, and execute a common plan across multiple stakeholders. This requires working effectively with all business owners in AWS India to ensure the delivery and execution of projects. Cross-team coordination, project management, and excellent communication skills are essential. To work effectively in the role, the candidate would be required to develop a deep understanding of the organization’s commitment to serving the customer and the strategic business direction.
Key job responsibilities
Requirements
The work would be highly project oriented (similar to consulting) and different projects would be assigned from time to time based on business requirements. This overall breadth of projects could include:
- Conceptualizing and implementing strategic organizational/process improvement projects
- Driving large scale programs with specific business/customer outcomes
- Account planning and identification of new areas of growth
- Enabling streamlining of existing mechanisms and putting structure mechanisms/cadences in place
- Coordinating large scale initiatives by playing a pivotal role in bridging the internal (cross functional) and external (Customer / partner) connects for effective execution
- Participation in strategic business planning to build the mid-term & long-term road map for the Federal business aligned to the public sector growth trajectory.
- Assist in the long-term opportunity identification in alignment with the AWS strategic priorities in India.
- Partnering locally and globally with extended teams like partners, public policy, programs & specialist teams.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
