The MarComm Strategic Finance team specializes in managing the financial performance of our Marketing and Communications functions, ensuring alignment between financial objectives and company strategy. We focus on operational and financial planning, delivering actionable insights into go-to-market performance, and optimizing strategic resource allocation to accelerate growth.

About the Role

We are hiring a Strategic Finance Lead to manage the financial performance of our growth efforts, brand marketing efforts, and communications efforts, supporting our Chief Marketing Officer, Head of Growth, and Chief Communications Officer. You will provide critical insights and recommendations on financial planning, budget allocation, and ROI optimization.

This role is based in New York, NY. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In this role, you will:

Lead financial forecasting, planning, and reporting across our MarComm portfolio, ensuring tight alignment with company-wide goals and cross-functional stakeholders
Own end-to-end financial management of a highly complex and rapidly scaling investment base, including Performance Marketing, Brand Marketing, and Communications, driving rigor across OpEx and headcount management, purchase order approvals, and monthly financial processes
Develop and operationalize investment frameworks that guide resource allocation across channels, markets, and programs
Establish and run cross-functional business reporting forums that clearly articulate the impact of MarComm against OKRs and business outcomes
Partner closely with Growth Marketing, Brand Marketing, Communications, Data Science, and Product to recommend data-driven optimizations across MarComm investments
Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and channel/market complexity to inform forward-looking investment strategy and ensure we are deploying capital where it creates the most value

You might thrive in this role if you have:

12+ total years of progressive experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, or related fields, coupled with operational experience in a high growth, scaling company.
5+ years in relevant roles partnering with Marketing and GTM orgs. Familiarity with marketing across both B2C and B2B business models is a plus.
Expertise in managing large, complex budgets and delivering actionable insights from data.
A passion for helping build world-class Marketing, Growth, and Communications teams.
A strong ability to critically evaluate key levers, opportunities, and risks in MarComm plans.
A proven track record of building strong, collaborative relationships with business partners and executives. You‬‭ are seen as a trusted and objective advisor‬.
‭Deep analytical rigor and financial modeling skills, focused on distilling complex financial information into actionable insights for leadership.
Excellent communication skills and storytelling ability when presenting data insights.
An enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality and an ability to deal effectively with ambiguity to thrive in an unstructured, fast-paced environment‬.
Experience partnering with Data Science teams. You must have familiarity with SQL or a willingness to learn.
Strong enthusiasm about technology and artificial intelligence.
