Scale AI is looking to hire a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Revenue and Reporting Accountant to join its Accounting team. This crucial role will play an integral part in day-to-day revenue accounting in a fast-paced environment. This role will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, deal review, and maintaining revenue accounts in accordance with U.S. GAAP. You must have strong analytical skills and an eagerness to learn, as well as be a collaborative team player who is not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
You will:
- Assist in monthly revenue and commissions accounting close activities, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Ensure the company is compliant with revenue recognition principles under ASC 606
- Review standard and non-standard contracts to determine the appropriate revenue recognition under U.S. GAAP
- Collaborate within Revenue Operations and Finance on revenue metrics, flux analysis, forecast, and projections
- Identify and implement process improvements. We strive to maintain pace with our growth and keep an eye on scalability in everything we do
- Preparation of revenue-related schedules for external auditors
- Own the order to cash cycle, which includes the company’s accounts receivable and customer invoicing process
Ideally you’d have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a business related degree; CPA preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience; public accounting a must
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and highly analytical
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities within deadlines
- Excellent problem solving skills and high level of attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- US citizenship is a requirement due to US government security clearance processing
