Role
Glean is looking for a strategic, passionate, and experienced Corporate Counsel to join our team. This role, based in Bangalore, IN and reporting into our Chief Legal & Administrative Officer in Palo Alto, California, will be responsible for our corporate governance and legal operations needs as Glean scales around the world. You will be a pivotal player in our company's growth, responsible for identifying, analyzing and mitigating risk and enabling the success of our company and our customers. You will collaborate closely with our leadership to deeply understand our overarching business objectives and provide top-notch legal advice.
You will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with internal and external teams to manage the corporate creation, maintenance, administration, and ongoing compliance of international subsidiary entities.
- Partnering with our accounting, finance, people, and business functions to ensure effective corporate governance, legal administration, and compliance programs are in place as Glean scales.
- Organizing and maintaining corporate minute books, records and corporate structure charts for international entities and the parent organization.
- Coordinating annual meeting processes for global subsidiaries and supporting the formation or integration of new entities globally.
- Drafting basic corporate organizational documents and resolutions; and maintaining director and officer records.
- Conducting legal research and providing analysis on corporate and regulatory issues, supporting due diligence efforts, and assisting in other legal matters as they arise.
- Assisting in general legal matters ranging from privacy to employment, to stock administration, as needed and depending on background/experience.
What We're Looking for Minimum Requirements
- Law degree with at least 5 years of experience in corporate law, preferably both in a law firm and in-house legal department of a fast growing technology company.
- Willingness to work from our Bangalore, IN office three days/week.
- Knowledge of international corporate governance, compliance, and general corporate law.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to interface with globally situated teams across time zones.
- A track record of fostering trust-based relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and delivering exceptional client service.
