Metropolis develops advanced computer vision and machine learning technology that makes mobile commerce remarkable. As we expand our presence across industries, we are seeking a Marketing Coordinator to lead the organization and execution of corporate events, conferences, and trade shows.This role is pivotal to ensuring Metropolis' visibility and engagement in key markets, facilitating valuable networking opportunities, and driving lead generation through exceptional event execution. Based in New York City or Los Angeles, the Marketing Coordinator will work closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to deliver high-impact events that align with company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Event Planning & Management:

- Plan, coordinate, and execute conferences, trade shows, and corporate events, ensuring seamless operations and alignment with business goals.
- Manage event timelines, budgets, and logistics, including venue selection, contract negotiation, and vendor coordination.
- Develop and maintain event checklists, playbooks, and contingency plans.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to identify event objectives and target audiences.
- Work cross-functionally to develop marketing assets in support of the event or organizational membership
- Coordinate with external partners, sponsors, and vendors to deliver high-quality experiences.
- On-Site Execution:
- Occasionally oversee on-site event operations, including setup, registration, and breakdown.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during events, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Performance Analysis:
- Measure and report on event success through key performance indicators such as attendance, engagement, and lead generation.
- Incorporate post-event feedback to refine and improve future initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in event planning, conference coordination, or corporate event management.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and engage external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with event management tools, CRM platforms, and digital marketing strategies.
- Strong bias for action and ownership with the ability to take initiative and lead cross-functional projects.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed for events.

The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment.
