About the Role
As an Inventory Specialist at xAI, you will play a key role in maintaining the efficiency of our Site Operations warehouse. You will organize inventory, manage RMA processes, handle data entry, and ensure accurate tracking of assets to support our data center and infrastructure needs. You are detail-oriented, a quick learner, and excel at following procedures while identifying opportunities for process improvements. You will collaborate with Site Operations teams to keep our warehouse running smoothly in a high-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain the Site Operations warehouse area, including shelving, labeling, and optimizing space utilization.
- Manage Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes, including inspection, documentation, and coordination with vendors for returns and repairs.
- Perform accurate data entry for inventory tracking, receipts, shipments, and asset management using internal systems.
- Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments of hardware, parts, and supplies.
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments, including vendor returns and internal transfers.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages.
- Create and update documentation for inventory procedures and standard operating procedures.
- Assist in troubleshooting inventory-related issues and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement and operations, to support overall site efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field
- Experience with data entry and inventory tracking systems
- Familiarity with RMA processes and vendor coordination
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in a data center or technology warehouse environment
- Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., Oracle or similar systems)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to use basic tools for warehouse organization and minor assembly
- Knowledge of safety protocols in warehouse settings
- Excellent time management and prioritization abilities
- 2+ years of experience with structured cabling or hardware handling
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
