About the role
Anthropic is seeking an Internal Communications Manager to join our Communications team. Internal communications at Anthropic works across teams to steer and foster a culture that's rooted in our mission, values, and company goals. In this role, you will make sure every Anthropic employee feels engaged, informed, and understands how their daily work directly contributes to our mission as a public benefit corporation: to ensure the world safely makes the transition through transformative AI.
This role works like a communications business partner, going deep with assigned functions to fully understand their challenges, priorities, and needs. You'll own internal communications for Legal, People & Finance serving as their embedded communications expert while maintaining tight partnerships with their leadership.
Responsibilities:

- Own a communications strategy for a dedicated portfolio of functional areas, becoming an expert in their work and a trusted member of their leadership team
- Partner closely with function leaders and executives to understand priorities, help them communicate change, and ensure their teams feel connected to the broader mission
- Cultivate and manage channels for disseminating timely information from teams
- Design and implement strategies to boost signal and reduce noise so employees know what's important and what it means for them
- Use qualitative and quantitative research to propose strategies and tactics that align with company goals and will resonate with our employee audience
- Weave our brand across different internal touchpoints, working across teams to uplift stories that connect our daily work to our mission and identify cultural moments that reinforce our values
- Identify, celebrate, and help shape cultural moments that reinforce our values, spotting organic examples of our culture in action and creating space for it to evolve as we grow
- Exhibit operational excellence to help plan and execute internal fora like all-hands
- Partner closely with the broader internal communications team to ensure updates are being accurately and consistently cascaded via all our existing channels and live forums.
- Co-design and implement principles, practices, and governance for how we use communications channels

- Have 10+ years of proven experience executing and leading in fast-changing, complex, and international organizations

- Have a keen eye for organizational culture and can recognize authentic moments worth amplifying while helping teams navigate cultural evolution
- Are comfortable navigating organizational dynamics and can build strong working relationships with executives
