The Role
We are seeking a results-driven Project Management Specialist to lead and oversee complex projects in data annotation and Generative AI (GenAI). The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker, exceptional problem solver, and dynamic leader who thrives in high-pressure environments. This role requires a sharp mind, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle the nuances of cutting-edge AI projects with precision.
What You Will Do
- Project Leadership: Strategically manage and execute high-value GenAI and data annotation projects, ensuring exceptional delivery and adherence to client expectations.
- Problem Solving and Risk Management: Identify challenges proactively, evaluate risks, and develop innovative solutions to ensure smooth project execution.
- Requirements Analysis & Translation: Analyze client requirements and ambiguous inputs, identify gaps, ask targeted questions, and convert unclear objectives into structured, actionable workflows and instructions.
- Analytical Decision Making: Own data backed project decisions by analyzing throughput, quality trends, cost efficiency, and risk signals; recommend corrective actions without escalation dependency.
- Process Design & Standardization: Design, document, and scale repeatable project playbooks, SOPs, and reporting frameworks across GenAI workflows.
- Quality & Escalation Governance: Establish quality checkpoints, root-cause analysis mechanisms, and escalation protocols to prevent recurring delivery or quality failures across partners.
- Capacity & Cost Optimization: Plan and manage workforce capacity, vendor utilization, and project burn rates to meet delivery goals while optimizing cost and productivity.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and act as the primary point of contact for high-value clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Service Partner Management: Coordinate and oversee multiple service partners, ensuring consistent quality and timely output delivery.
- Administrative Excellence: Prepare, manage, and track project documentation, ensuring thorough oversight of project milestones and deliverables.
- Global Communication: Handle internal and external calls across multiple time zones (primarily EST and PST), effectively managing diverse stakeholders.
What You Will Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Business. Certifications like PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile Scrum Master are advantageous.
- Professional Experience:
- 3-5 years of project management experience.
- Hands-on experience managing high stakes projects in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and global stakeholders.
- Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with data annotation processes, AI training workflows, and GenAI applications is highly preferred.
- Technical Awareness: Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and tools, with a keen interest in staying updated on emerging technologies.
Strong Plus
- Advanced Spreadsheet Proficiency: Strong command of Excel/Google Sheets including complex formulas, pivot tables, dashboards, data validation, conditional logic, and scenario modeling.
- Structured Problem Solving: Ability to break ambiguous problems into structured components, form hypotheses, test with data, and drive decisions under uncertainty.
- Extreme Ownership: Demonstrated ability to own outcomes end-to-end with minimal supervision, proactively identifying risks and driving solutions.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills to effectively manage stakeholder expectations and project updates.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and challenges.
- Technical Tools: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira) and methodologies like Agile and Scrum is a plus.
