Meta’s Global Industry Marketing team is actively seeking a full-time and experienced marketing professional who will drive thought leadership programming for Meta's largest company and industry events. The Thought Leadership Lead will be responsible for developing and driving programming strategy for Meta's x-company tentpoles such as Connect and product launch moments. They will also be tasked with identifying and (and securing) corresponding speaking opportunities at the most impactful events and industry moments. The Thought Leadership role will also require an extensive amount of relationship-building—from forging strategic partnerships with industry partners to gaining the trust of cross-functional partners and key stakeholders worldwide. This individual will be joining Meta’s Global Industry Marketing team, responsible for Meta’s largest thought leadership and industry partnerships work across the company.The Thought Leadership Lead must be someone one who thrives in an extremely productive and high growth environment.
Thought Leadership Lead Responsibilities:
- Drive thought leadership programming strategy and development for Meta's largest owned and industry tent poles
- Assemble and manage large internal Cross Functional teams to deliver and produce content
- Manage agency to support programming and program management
- Drive programming and industry strategy for Meta's key product launch moments
- Support top executives for their thought leadership and engagement strategy at key flagship events
- Support the wider Industry Marketing team on our thought leadership programming needs at internal and external events
- Create bespoke partnerships with key industry organizations to foster connections and drive thought leadership
- Closely collaborate with experiential marketing peers on internal and industry events to ensure there is great cohesion or integration at all times
- Develop thought leadership strategy for the broader Global Industry Marketing team, inclusive of new initiatives, criteria, systems, and Artificial Intelligence integration
- Lead measurement strategy for thought leadership in partnership with Decision Science to illustrate impact of programming on the business
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or Creative discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- 10 + years of industry marketing experience, driving business and consumer-facing thought leadership programs
- Understanding of the technology landscape and new product launches as it relates to marketing and customer experiences—and of key challenges
- History of relationship-building, particularly with industry thought leaders, industry organization leaders, and decision makers
- Experience in developing and producing successful industry marketing programs (identifying and securing thought leadership engagements, developing and driving strategic positioning and messaging, etc.)
- Storytelling, organizational and project management skills
- Possess a genuine commitment for marketing, products, storytelling and, above all else, the Meta mission
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing an editorial calendar and pitching ideas and stories (experience in managing a PR agency is a plus)
- Experience in content production
