We are expanding our Order to Cash Finance team at Databricks and are looking for a
Cash Application Analyst. This role owns high-volume cash application and reconciliation activities within a fast-scaling, usage-based SaaS environment. The analyst ensures accurate and timely application of complex customer and platform remittances, safeguards cash integrity, and partners cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies across a large and growing AR landscape.
The Impact You Will Have
- Own daily cash application across multiple payment channels, ensuring accurate and timely invoice clearing
- Reconcile complex remittances including indirect channel and cloud marketplace settlements
- Perform detailed post-billing analysis to resolve credits, usage true-ups, short payments, and unapplied cash
- Investigate and resolve multi-invoice, multi-entity payment discrepancies within NetSuite
- Partner with Billing and Collections to close reconciliation gaps impacting customer balances
- Monitor unapplied cash aging and drive reduction through structured resolution tracking
- Maintain audit-ready documentation supporting payment application and reconciliation logic
- Identify recurring reconciliation breaks and recommend scalable process improvements
- Support automation initiatives to improve matching accuracy and reduce manual intervention
- Generate reporting on application accuracy, unapplied trends, and cash posting timeliness
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards
What We Look For
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is a must. Additional Accounting Qualification is a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in cash application or AR operations within high-volume environments
- Experience reconciling complex remittance structures and indirect billing flows
- Strong understanding of usage-based billing and credit memo application logic
- Proficiency in NetSuite (or major ERP) and Salesforce
- Strong Excel proficiency (advanced formulas, pivots, data analysis)
- High attention to detail with strong analytical problem-solving capability
- Ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
