The Role
You will be part of SuperAnnotate’s Data Operations (QA) team and be responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and reliability of annotated datasets delivered to our customers. The role blends hands-on annotation QA, analytics-driven process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to define and uphold QA standards across projects. The successful candidate will help design QA strategies, monitor KPIs, run audits and calibration, and work with Product/Engineering to improve tooling and automation.
What You Will Do
- Own QA for assigned projects: perform audits, spot checks, reviewer checks and end-to-end verification to ensure annotation accuracy and adherence to client instructions and SOPs.
- Develop and execute comprehensive QA strategies and calibration processes to maintain consistent quality across annotators, projects and modalities.
- Define, track and report KPIs (accuracy, error rates, QA coverage, SLA compliance, velocity, rework rates) and use dashboard analytics to identify trends and root causes.
- Conduct audits, cadence checks and process reviews; recommend corrective actions and verify remediation.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to surface platform gaps, propose product/process improvements, and help design automation to scale QA workflows.
- Create and maintain clear QA documentation, error taxonomies, feedback templates and client-facing quality reports.
- Support onboarding and training for new QA and production team members; run calibration sessions and dry-runs before project ramp.
- Proactively engage with Project/Service Leads and Customer Success to manage client expectations around quality and scope, and participate in client kickoffs and Q&A sessions.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related).
- Proven experience defining and measuring QA KPIs and running audits / calibration sessions.
- Comfortable with basic data analysis: experience with dashboards and analytics tools; ability to interpret trends and quantify quality issues.
- Practical knowledge of annotation workflows and tooling; familiarity with image/video/NLP annotation best practices is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal English communication — able to prepare client reports and give clear feedback to annotators and stakeholders.
Strong Plus
- Scripting skills (Python or similar) for lightweight automation and data manipulation.
- Experience in data annotation QA, data quality, or operations supporting ML/data pipelines.
- Experience working with enterprise clients / SLAs and running quality programs for regulated or sensitive domains (e.g., healthcare/pharma).
- Familiarity with SuperAnnotate’s ML Studio or similar annotation platforms and communication tools (Slack/Discord).
