The Robotics Operations Quality Associate holds primary accountability for collection performance assigned to a shift. This role ensures that data collector training is being implemented across all collection efforts happening in the lab. The Quality Associate is responsible for driving excellence across key operational metrics while embodying a high-performance culture rooted in professional development and continuous process improvement.
You will:
Organizational Leadership
- Direct Span of Control: Provide tactical direction across all collection roles on the shift
- Employee Experience & Advocacy: Serve as the guardian of the workplace experience. Proactively identify the demands and requirements of the shift staff, transforming feedback into actionable initiatives that enhance operational ergonomics, engagement, and overall workplace satisfaction.
Operational Excellence & Metric Accountability
- Key Operational Metrics: Maintain full accountability for shift-level performance in Quality, including Scene/Demonstration assignment
- Technical Stability: Partner with the Robotics Ops Diversity and Quality Leads to ensure data collection is staged for success with minimal Collector overhead. Serve as the primary escalation point for any operational disruptions stemming from diversity, quality, or collection Specifications
- Customer-Mindedness: Become an expert in understanding customer needs and the operational implementation required to deliver them. Ensure Collection team is meeting these expectations
Advanced Data Analysis & Problem Solving
- Operational Dive-Deeps: Execute analysis of quality, diversity, and distribution data. The Quality Associate must demonstrate the ability to identify statistical outliers and performance trends, translating raw data into technical or behavioral insights.
- Root Cause Methodology: Lead formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes (e.g., 5-Whys, Fishbone) to address complex operational variances and implement preventive measures to ensure long-term stability.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate daily with Quality Management, Engineering, and on-site Maintenance teams to synchronize efforts. Facilitate formal shift handovers to ensure the precise transfer of critical information and operational status between leadership teams.
Ideally, you’d have:
- Experience: 3+ years in high-volume manufacturing, automated logistics, or technical operations. Significant leadership capacity managing large-scale teams
- Analytical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in operational data analysis and the use of business intelligence tools to drive informed decision-making.
- Methodological Rigor: Expert knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and standardized problem-solving frameworks.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and extensive industry experience will be considered.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to present complex operational reports to executive leadership.
