Life at UiPath
The people at UiPath believe in the transformative power of automation to change how the world works. We’re committed to creating category-leading enterprise software that unleashes that power.
To make that happen, we need people who are curious, self-propelled, generous, and genuine. People who love being part of a fast-moving, fast-thinking growth company. And people who care—about each other, about UiPath, and about our larger purpose.
Could that be you?
Your Mission
At UiPath’s Insights / Platform Analytics team, you’ll work at the core of our cloud platform—building the systems that enable deep visibility, intelligence, and data-driven decision-making at scale. This team sits at the intersection of infrastructure, distributed systems, and data, powering platform observability, analytics, and insights across Automation Cloud.
This is a role for engineers who care deeply about how systems behave in production—people who don’t just ship code, but understand and improve outcomes through data. You’ll help design and build a platform that increasingly integrates AI-driven capabilities into real-world workflows.
What You’ll Do At UiPath
- Design and build backend systems and distributed services that power large-scale cloud infrastructure
- Develop automation for provisioning, deployment, and lifecycle management of cloud resources
- Build and operate systems that enable platform-level analytics, observability, and insights at scale
- Contribute to Kubernetes-based infrastructure, including operators, controllers, and platform services
- Work with or grow into data platform integrations (e.g., warehouses, pipelines, Snowflake) to support platform intelligence
- Apply strong engineering judgment by leveraging AI, deep problem understanding, and domain knowledge to solve complex challenges end-to-end
- Explore and contribute to how AI can be applied to real engineering and platform challenges
Core Qualifications
What you’ll bring to the team
- 4+ years of software engineering experience building backend or distributed systems
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Experience working with Kubernetes (K8s), containers, and cloud-native systems
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP acceptable)
- Strong proficiency in C# (primary), with additional experience in Python and/or Scala
- Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
- Demonstrated ability to own production systems, debug issues, and drive them to resolution
Preferred / High-Impact Signals
- Experience building or operating large-scale distributed systems or control planes
- Exposure to data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, data warehouses, ETL pipelines) or strong desire to ramp quickly
- Familiarity with CNCF ecosystem tools (e.g., Istio, Prometheus)
- Experience building platform primitives (operators, controllers, orchestration layers)
- Curiosity or hands-on experience applying AI/ML to engineering problems (e.g., automation, observability, developer productivity)
What Sets You Apart
- You think in terms of systems, not just services
- You care about how things run in production, not just how they’re built
- You take ownership beyond your scope—you fix what’s broken, even if it’s not “your” code
- You’re curious and pragmatic about AI, and interested in applying it to real-world engineering challenges
- You move with urgency and bias toward action, without sacrificing quality
Why this role matters
This team is foundational to UiPath’s evolution—from automation to AI-powered orchestration at scale. The systems you build will directly impact how enterprises understand, optimize, and scale automation and AI across their most critical workflows.
Maybe you don’t tick all the boxes above—but still think you’d be great for the job? Go ahead, apply anyway. Please. Because we know that experience comes in all shapes and sizes—and passion can’t be learned.
