About the role:
We are seeking a Strategic Finance, Product member to join our Finance team at Anthropic. In this role, you will be a key partner to our product teams, providing financial expertise and guidance to support strategic decision-making. As we continue to grow, you will play a crucial role in analyzing financial data, building models, and delivering insights to drive informed business decisions across pricing, packaging, and capacity efficiency. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams and collaborate with other members of the finance organization to align product strategies with broader financial considerations. Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance, recommendations, and influence to product stakeholders on financial strategies, investments, and resource allocation decisions, leveraging an in-depth understanding of the company's financials
- Partner cross-functionally to drive analysis, build financial models, and recommend business decisions across a variety of areas, such as pricing and packaging, business expansion, and capacity efficiency
- Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and insightful financial reports, analyses, and forecasts, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities to facilitate informed decision-making to stakeholders and executives
- Collaborate with other members of strategic finance, FP&A, and accounting counterparts, helping to align product with broader financial strategies and considerations
- Establish and implement reporting dashboards and scorecards to track key operational and financial metrics
You may be a good fit if you have:
- 7+ years in experience across strategic finance, product finance, private equity, growth equity, venture capital, consulting, and investment banking
- Exceptional analytical skills with an ability to synthesize data into compelling insights and develop / maintain complex financial operating models
- Extraordinary problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to navigate complex financial challenges
- Comfort working cross-functionally and are adept at communicating complex financial information to non-finance audiences
- Excitement about working in a fast paced, dynamic environment and adapt well to change
- Possess a bias towards action, strong work ethic, and have experience driving operational outcomes under tight timelines
- Strong relationship building, business judgment, process management, and communication skills
- Passion about Anthropic's mission to build safe, transformative AI systems
Strong candidates may also have:
- A combination of 3+ years in strategic finance, paired with several years prior across private equity, growth equity, venture capital, consulting, and investment banking
- Experience with consumption based and/or complex business models
- High knowledge of and interest in cloud computing infrastructure
- Background in AI, ML, or related technologies
