You will report to our Director of HR Business Partners and be based in Mountain View, California.
You Will
- Partner with, guide and coach senior leaders on successful org leadership
- Project and program manage People team offerings and business-identified talent and culture initiatives, customizing offerings to the client group
- Consult with centers of excellence (COEs) on design and roll out of HR offerings
- Partner with COEs on day-to-day work in service to client group needs, i.e. org development, comp, recruiting
- Work closely with business leaders, assessing more complex client group needs as they surface - level of impact and priority, resourcing needed, communications, and change management
We Require
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience, MBA or Master's degree preferred
- 12+ years relevant work experience, including HR experience, consulting, business partner operating at a senior manager level and as a close partner to software, product, or research leadership
- Proven ability to effectively problem solve in partnership with centers of excellence
- Comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done and the next moment being part of deeply complex strategy discussions; effective balance of tailoring solutions and standardization
- Great at influencing through strong relationships, expertise and data and can manage a complex set of stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to analyze data, understand trends, develop recommendations for action based on the analysis
- Strong communication skills and an understanding of how to communicate large complex change
We Prefer
- MA/MS or MBA degree
- Experience working as a management consultant, working with external clients
- Balanced experience working in start-up and established company environments
- Demonstrated ability to work within constraints and to challenge the status quo.
The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the role location or, if the role can be performed remote, the specific salary range for your preferred location, during the hiring process.
Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
