The role
We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Lead Creative Producer to join our Marketing and Communications team at Google DeepMind. This role combines individual contribution on large-scale, high-impact projects with the responsibility of managing a team of creative producers on day-to-day foundational work. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and intellectually stimulating environment, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing a diverse range of projects, platforms, and channels, including web, social, digital, print, experiential, and video. This role will involve close collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Program Management team on priority projects, as well as partnering with research and engineering teams across the whole organisation. Experience within the science, technology, and research field is a plus. Key responsibilities
Individual Contributor Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Program Management team to lead the execution of large-scale, complex creative projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and timely delivery.
- Own and manage multiple workstreams, coordinating cross-functionally with various stakeholders at different levels of the business.
- Develop and implement bespoke creative strategies for client organisations, ensuring alignment with their specific needs and objectives.
- Manage external resources, including agencies and freelancers, as needed, ensuring effective collaboration and high-quality output.
- Maintain effective documentation, plan for ongoing and iterative improvements, and proactively identify and manage project risks.
Management Responsibilities:
- Manage the creative producer team, allocating resources, setting priorities, and ensuring high-quality output on foundational projects.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth.
- Establish and reinforce production best practices from creative briefing to launch, ensuring efficient processes and workflows.
- Define tactical requirements and scope for projects managed by the team.
About you
In order to set you up for success as a Product Marketing Manager at Google DeepMind, we look for the following skills and experience:
- Significant experience of world-class creative production experience, with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale projects across various platforms (web, social, digital, print, experiential, and video).
- Experience working within a large organisation and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of creative producers.
- Expert-level understanding of the creative process, from initial ideation and strategy through to scoping, visual design, development, and delivery.
- Strong understanding of digital, graphic, and conceptual design principles and marketing best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing, high-performance environment, balancing multiple stakeholders and external partnerships.
- Knowledge of project management software such as Asana.
