Your Mission
UiPath is searching for a
Director of Revenue Recognition to serve as a key technical accounting resource within UiPath responsible for conducting accounting research and preparing memos/position papers for matters impacting the Company’s revenue recognition and related areas. This role collaborates extensively with and serves as an advisor to: accounting and controlling, SEC reporting, legal, operations, treasury, compensation/benefits, deal desk, sales, pricing/product and other key business partners.
What You'll Do At UiPath
- Research and summarize the expected accounting and financial reporting/disclosure implications of significant routine and non-routine revenue transactions (subject to ASC 606) and other related technical accounting issues (e.g., subject to ASC 340-40), including: changes to pricing/packaging strategy, introduction of new products, non-standard contracts with customers, updates to our partner/alliance programs, changes to our sales compensation plans, and general policy maintenance.
- Complete special projects and prepare analyses for senior management requiring technical accounting research and analysis of financial information as requested.
- Monitor communications from regulatory bodies, accounting firms and other external sources to remain apprised of new accounting practices and regulations, frequent areas of SEC staff comment, and interpretive accounting and disclosure guidance and provide guidance to senior leadership regarding potential impacts.
- Collaborate with SEC reporting team, accounting and controlling, internal and external legal counsel, and other business partners to support preparation of annual and periodic SEC filings (Form 10-K/Form 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statement and other SEC filings), including the compilation and review of related financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Own interactions with the Company’s external auditors for responsible subject matter areas
- Assist in the preparation and/or review of quarterly earnings materials (or other materials prepared by Investor Relations).
- Ensure appropriate internal controls and procedures are in place and maintain compliance with SOX requirements for applicable processes.
What You'll Bring To The Team
- A Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA (or equivalent certification) preferred.
- 12+[RG1] years of relevant experience in a Big 4/national public accounting firm and/or a publicly traded multi-national software company. Experience with both on-premise and SaaS licensing models preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of and hands-on experience with the application of US GAAP and SEC reporting rules and regulations in a public company setting, especially as it relates to ASC 606 and ASC 340-40
- Strong technical accounting research skills and experience, including a demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex technical accounting matters or other financial issues and to effectively summarize and communicate research results.
- Self-starter with outstanding organizational skills, strong critical thinking skills, immaculate attention to detail and a strong personal commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them through to completion.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment.
