The Opportunity
To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Legal Intern to join our Legal team for approximately three months in the summer of 2025. The Legal Intern will sit within our Litigation and Employment team and advise the business concerning ongoing litigation, arbitration, or regulatory matters and compliance with employment laws in five countries and dozens of US states.
As Grammarly’s first Litigation and Employment Intern, you will help collaborate with our business teams on some of Grammarly’s most complex and impactful legal questions. In this role, you will:
- Work on at least one end-to-end legal challenge directly related to Grammarly’s high-level goals and priorities.
- Develop expertise in managing litigation risk and directing internal investigations.
- Gain exposure to global employment laws and experience navigating complex employment regulations.
- Partner with dedicated mentors to research, analyze and advise on projects you will own throughout your internship.
- Collaborate with a friendly team of legal professionals to get exposure to other in-house functions, including product and privacy counseling, policy, enterprise contracting, intellectual property, corporate, and compliance.
- Leverage your unique point of view to share feedback on legal strategy and risk management.
- Learn from all the challenges of supporting a product that serves hundreds of millions of users worldwide.
Qualifications
- Is a current 1L with a demonstrated interest in litigation or employment.
- Brings a problem-solving and detail-oriented approach to their work, a track record of excellent organizational skills, and unfailing follow-up to effectively manage multiple activities of varying difficulty, priority, and complexity.
- Shows the ability to independently advance projects by securing support from others while collaborating in a cross-functional role.
- Has an entrepreneurial drive and comfort working in ambiguous, quickly changing environments.
- Has a strong sense of accountability and integrity, taking ownership of projects and responsibilities and resolving issues proactively.
- Is an effective communicator with a service mindset that empowers others to achieve their goals.

Compensation
The expected pay for this position is $38.00 USD/hour and may be modified in the future.
