About the role
The Tokens team is seeking a Legal & Litigation Support Engineer to help manage the growing workload of legal and technical support requirements. In this role, you'll serve as a critical bridge between legal and technical teams, both within and outside of Anthropic. You'll handle time-sensitive requests, build tooling to improve processes during quieter periods, and provide technical expertise to support litigation efforts. This position requires strong engineering skills combined with exceptional communication abilities to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical liaison between legal teams and engineering, translating requirements and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Support litigation efforts by gathering, organizing, and analyzing relevant technical data
- Build tooling and automation to streamline future legal support requests
- Manage cloud infrastructure and data handling related to legal compliance
- Respond to time-sensitive requests with thoroughness and accuracy
- Document technical processes for legal compliance purposes
- Work across the technology stack as needed to address diverse requirements
- Maintain and improve systems that support legal and compliance functions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on legal and technical requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and tooling for future legal support work

Strong candidates may also have:
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code platforms
- Background working with large datasets or data analysis
- Experience in a technical liaison role between engineering and non-technical teams
- Knowledge of legal discovery processes or litigation support
- Background in building automation tools and improving processes
