Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general-purpose humanoid. Our Humanoid is designed for corporate tasks targeting labor shortages and jobs that are undesirable or unsafe. We are based in Sunnyvale, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration.
We are seeking an experienced Global Supply Manager to manage the sourcing and procurement of various commodities across our global supply chain. This individual will be responsible for driving strategic supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and pricing, ensuring on-time delivery, and maintaining product quality. The role requires both a strong operational focus on immediate objectives and a strategic approach to long-term supplier development. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, startup-like environment with limited resources, where initiative, adaptability, and cross-functional collaboration are essential.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end sourcing strategies for electronic components to support our product roadmap
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with global suppliers to secure the best commercial agreements possible
- Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, conducting regular performance assessments to ensure quality and consistency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Operations) to align on component specifications and delivery timelines
- Manage purchase orders and logistics to guarantee on-time delivery and optimize inventory levels
- Identify supply chain risks and implement proactive solutions to mitigate potential disruptions
- Maintain a balance between immediate operational goals (cost targets, lead times) and long-term supplier development strategies
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, reduce costs, and improve supply chain efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus)
- 5+ years of global procurement or supply management experience with a focus on electronics commodities
- Proven success in negotiating complex supplier agreements and driving cost-reduction initiatives
- Strong understanding of quality standards, compliance requirements, and logistics in hardware-focused environments
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong cross-functional partnerships
- Solid analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a track record of developing both short-term plans and long-term supplier strategies
Bonus Qualifications:
- An engineering degree or equivalent technical background
- Previous experience working in a startup or on a lean team
- Prior exposure to robotics or advanced hardware manufacturing
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $140,000 - $220,000 annually.
