About the Role:
Anthropic is seeking an outstanding counsel to manage litigation, dispute resolution, and regulatory matters related to our business. As a member of our litigation and regulatory team, you will focus primarily on managing litigation files and pre-litigation disputes with minimal supervision, scaling the growing litigation function, and advising on litigation risk. You may also work on regulatory investigations as needed. You will work cross-functionally to handle these matters with minimal disruption to the business. The ideal candidate will have broad-based experience managing civil litigation in the context of emerging technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Counsel across a broad range of litigation matters, including intellectual property and commercial disputes.
- Manage and collaborate with outside counsel across all stages of litigation.
- Develop internal processes, policies, and tools to support litigation and regulatory matters efficiently and at scale.
- Work cross-functionally with teams to collect information, evaluate risk, and develop appropriate dispute-resolution proposals.
- Stay up to date on relevant laws, regulations, industry trends, and share developments with key stakeholders as needed.
You may be a good fit if you:
- Have a JD and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (California preferred), with 7-10 years of relevant legal experience (in-house preferred).
- Have deep substantive knowledge in litigation practice and procedure, ideally including copyright litigation and commercial disputes.
- Possess exceptional analytical, organizational, and collaboration skills.
